Product Owner – Renewable Energy Software

Help us make renewable-energy a true commodity.

We’re looking for an experienced Product Owner to join BaxEnergy and drive the roadmap for our cloud and edge software that powers renewable-energy management. If you have a background or experience in electrical engineering as well, you are the right candidate!

You’ll sit at the intersection of stakeholders and engineering, turning complex requirements into clear backlogs and timely releases. Rather than managing tickets, we want someone who understands systems end-to-end, cares about clarity and delivery, and translates vision into working software. If that sounds like you, let’s talk.

This role is fully remote.

What You Will Do

• Lead specific product with autonomy and accountability

• Own and prioritise the product roadmap for our plant-level solutions across wind, solar, BESS, hydrogen, and microgrids

• Create and maintain a transparent backlog for both embedded (on-site) and cloud components

• Gather requirements from customers, NOC/SOC experts, and internal stakeholders, converting them into actionable user stories

• Guide sprints, track milestones, and remove blockers without slowing the team

• Champion product clarity. Communicate trade-offs and decisions to tech and non-tech audiences

• Smart and get things done

• 5+ years of Product Owner experience on complex software (energy, IoT, industrial or SaaS is a plus)

• Great at communication. Can engage meaningfully with software engineers and present a roadmap to executives.

• Skilled at writing crisp, actionable requirements; not afraid to say no when needed

• Remote work experience

• 4-hour overlap with CET/CEST time zones minimum

• Able to travel to Italy within three months of hire (visa-eligible if required)
