Job description

We’re looking for a Microgrid / Power Systems Specialist to lead the microgrid capabilities of the CPPC Tiers platform, with a strong focus on intentional islanding, synchronization, and safe reconnection to the grid. In this role, you’ll ensure that microgrid behavior remains stable, predictable, and compliant with grid codes and protection schemes under all operating conditions.
This role is for someone who understands that microgrids live at the intersection of control, protection, and grid operations. You’ll take ownership of complex grid-interaction scenarios and edge cases, turning them into robust, certifiable system behavior.
This role is fully remote.
What You Will Do
Design and govern islanding logic for both grid-following and grid-forming operating modes
Implement synchronization and resynchronization sequences for safe grid separation and reconnection
Coordinate control strategies with protection systems, relays, and interlocking schemes
Address grid-interaction edge cases, including weak grids, fault ride-through, and abnormal operating conditions
Validate microgrid behavior through simulations, testing, and field feedback
Work closely with control, protection, and real-time software engineers to ensure coherent system behavior
Support grid-code compliance, commissioning, and acceptance activities related to microgrid operation
Why Join Us
You will join a fast-growing technology company operating in a complex and challenging industrial and energy environment, where software and engineering innovation has a real impact on systems and infrastructure.
We work on highly complex projects that require strong technical expertise, ownership, and close collaboration across multidisciplinary teams (software, control, automation, operations).
Positions are open both to professionals working as contractors and to candidates interested in on-site employee roles, depending on the profile, experience, and project needs.
We welcome applications from local candidates, available to work on-site, as well as from professionals based worldwide, in line with the applicable contractual model.
We offer a dynamic, results-oriented work environment, where people are actively involved in projects and valued for the contribution they bring
